2024 Summer Show
Treasure Island:
Adapted by Mary Zimmerman
Auditions: At Lockport Township Building - May 18-20
Show Dates: July 26, 27, 28; Aug 2, 3, 4
Adapted from the legendary Robert Louis Stevenson novel, we invite you to come to set sail for a hidden island and take part in this tale of piracy, mutiny, treasure and adventure. Performed over 2 weeks, this will be one of the grandest shows in Limestone's history and we look forward to having you be part of it! The show is aimed at all audiences, but- be warned, there is a certain amount of murder and mutiny involved (they are pirates, after all). Shows will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays July 26th to August 4th at Limestone Stage's Main Stage at Lockport Township Center.
Limestone Stage will be holding OPEN AUDITIONS for our summer production of Mary Zimmerman's Treasure Island May 18-20th
(This upcoming weekend)
The show consists of more than 20 speaking roles, has gunfights, swordplay, stage combat and is sure to be an exciting production to be a part of!
WHEN
Saturday, May 18- 6PM
Sunday, May 19- 3PM
Monday, May 20- 7PM
WHERE
Limestone Stage at Lockport Township Center
1463 S Farrell Rd
Lockport, IL 60441
WHAT TO PREPARE FOR
The audition will consist of cold readings of various actors playing different parts over 2-3 hours. No Monologues needed. If you have a resume and/or headshot, please bring it and show up at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the audition. Expect to be there at least 2 hours. Bring something to drink.
While almost all of the available roles are adults, the lead of the show, Jim Hawkins, is a young boy between 11 and 16. Both boys and girls will be considered for the role of Jim, but the role will be played male. Jim has nearly 100 lines, so young actors with experience with large roles are encouraged.
As always, auditioning and being involved in a Limestone Stage production is free of cost. We want your energy and creativity, not your money.
So feel free to come out to the Lockport Township Building this weekend (or Monday night) and give it a shot!
